MSPA is free content.
A webcomic, MSPA especially, is an extremely time consuming and labour heavy endeavor. I don’t know what most people think, but i can assure you that Andrew spends almost all his time working on homestuck. And not just andrew—the art and music teams all work very hard as well, and so do the folks at the What Pumpkin store. That’s thousands upon thousands of hours of labor to create something that you enjoy for free.
MSPA, Homestuck, and all associated characters and designs, belong to Andrew Hussie. It is up to him to decide how they are used and reproduced. If he asks you to not make money off of his property, that’s his right. That is reasonable.
Andrew Hussie works tirelessly to create free content for you, the readers. He is not obligated to do so, and he owes you nothing. Homestuck is a labor of love. So please, stop acting like this is a personal attack, and please, think before you go out of your way to make profits off of the efforts of others, especially if those people are small businessmen. Homestuck and other ventures like it survive on the support of the readers. Stealing from them by pirating content or by selling products based off of their properties is not just selfish and entitled, it hurts the livelihoods of those who work so hard to create the content you love in the first place.
